Poseidon Barge Corporation is fabricating the Poseidon II Sectional Barge.  This unit is built for long lasting quality and strength.  Our tops feature a “patent pending” 20,000 pounds per square foot deck.  At a result the decks are less prone to damage due to incidental equipment or construction debris falling on the deck of the barge.  The use of wood mats are always recommended on our steel sectional barges to protect the skin from the steel tracks of excavators and cranes.

The interior of the barge is coated with an environmentally safe bio-float rust inhibitor.   This coating remains a sticky substance on the surface of the barge never drying or flaking off the surface.   Bio-Float reduces the chance of internal corrosion due to moisture forming from condensation.  We also include two ballast tubes for adding water ballast.  Water ballast allows you to counter the weight differential when moving equipment closer to the edge of the barge.  Poseidon has taken another step to inhibit corrosion by applying zinc anodes to the exterior of the barge.
