All of the barges require over width permits. In many locations, trucks with over width loads are prohibited to run over the weekends. A typical over width truck can travel about 400 miles per day. Holidays are more challenging. In most instances, the trucks have to be off the road by 12:00 noon on Friday and can not travel until the following Tuesday morning if the holiday falls on Monday. Depending on the states, there can be a one or two day delay from when the trucking company orders the permits till when they receive them.
