Gerace Construction mobilized to Cheoah Dam ,NC and  set-up barges and placed crane on barge then motored 9 miles to dam. Clam shelled approx. 1,000 cu yds. of debris from existing trash racks. Once debris was cleared removed old trash racks placing them on material barge and shuttling to shore for removal. Loaded new trash racks on material barge and installed at intake using crane. Using the Poseidon Barge system crew gained time on set-up and tear-down. We exceeded our customers’ expectations and project was performed ahead of schedule using this robust barge system.
